This position is located at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Miami VA Medical Center, in the Health Administration Service Line. The primary purpose is to serve as the Program Analyst under direct supervision of Chief of Ambulatory Care and be responsible for the extracting, analyzing and reporting data, related to performance metrics that impacts access to care to our Veterans.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but are not limited to: Utilize computer software programs develops procedures for validation of data input.
- →Analyze data, identify discrepancies, make corrections, and recommends a course of action to assure accuracy and timeliness of future data input.
- →Conduct studies, design databases, monitor reports, analyze workload data and, using a wide range of methods and procedures to conduct program analysis for a variety of data sources.
- →Develop, monitor, and perform data collection and analysis (i.e. encounter based clinical diagnostic and administrative data).
- →Collect numerical data for reports, completes statistical analysis and interview various administrators and clinicians on current processes.
- →Develop and implement an in-depth training program for the Facility to ensure staff are properly educated and accountable for encounters, scheduling, and data reports management and analysis.
- →Ensure correct data to report, scheduling procedures for all scheduling applications, and clinic profiles, follow national directives and other facility policies.
- →Serve as a point of contact on matters relating to the HAS VistA Core packages.
- →Provide continuous education and training on encounters, errors, and reports to stakeholders to include clinical providers, Administrative Officers, and HAS staff.
- →Work with Program Application Specialist in designating and preparing data management analyses, special studies, and reports.
- →Assign menus, security keys, and mail groups to service employees as well as nonservice employees requesting special service/VistA options, making necessary changes as employees transfer to and from other services.
- →Provide management information and analysis of software functions within the service and evaluating and testing new VistA equipment and software.
- →Estimate and compute workload projections through established formula and guidelines.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Telework: Not Authorized Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
