The Program Analyst of this position provides support for the Specialty Care Service Line at Iowa City VA Health Care System by analyzing and evaluating a wide range of issues relating to the setting analysis, budget analysis, program review, process analysis, developing action plans and processes to improve patient care.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties and responsibilities include: Performing program cost analyses such as maintaining records of fee basing services.
- →Performing cost benefit and/or economic evaluations of programs and processes.
- →Performing cost effectiveness studies by collecting data and making computations.
- →Planning, designing, analyzing, and submitting action plan proposals to supervisory and upper management within the service line.
- →Developing procedures and systems for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of administrative control systems or operating programs.
- →Evaluating results of audits/inspections and forwards action items to supervisory or upper management within the service line.
- →Ensuring analysis, data collections, reports, and presentations are completed using a strong knowledge and use of various software programs including but not limited to: VISTA, CPRS, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet downloads, and other programs as necessary.
- →Analyzing and evaluating, on a quantitative or qualitative basis, the effectiveness of programs or operations in meeting established goals and objectives.
- →Analyzing and summarizing information for the supervisory and upper management staff, providing information on past and current processes and programs.
- →Managing and/or acts as a liaison or handles the communication with persons and/or groups within and outside of the organization at the local and VISN levels.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
