Located in the Orlando VA Medical Center, the Program Analyst performs duties directly contributing to the administrative and data management of Orlando Veteran Affair Health Care System under the Ambulatory Care Operations Director/Group Practice Manager. This position provides mission critical analysis and data to support the development of a more comprehensive, coordinated and patient care driven healthcare system. This requires the position to operate independently on behalf of the ACOD/GPM.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include but are not limited to: Analyzes and advises various programs involving resourcing of in-house and Fee Basis staff, provider mapping, clinic utilization, etc.
- →Supports OVAHCS utilizing knowledge and the use of statistical analysis techniques, operations research techniques, interactive database manipulation and administration (i.e.
- →Excel, SQL, Power BI and PowerPoint).
- →Identifies problems that involve new or revised policies or procedures and brings them to the attention of senior management with recommendations for appropriate action.
- →Analyzes internal review of systems and processes to assure financial and organizational data is accurate and in compliance with agency or service regulatory requirements and expectations.
- →Analyzes and prepares program status reports for review at all levels.
- →Utilizes data analytics and various platforms to translate raw data into useful reporting mechanisms for management.
- →Reviews and reconciles large amounts of data and interprets findings resulting from studies that are independently developed.
- →Provides service training in applicable computer applications by creating and developing procedures and training materials such as Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Graphs and Charts.
- →Initiates action items based on the outcomes of projects and/or initiatives and verifies appropriate progress to remedy problems and ensure risk management.
- →Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
- →Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
