About the Role
This position serves as a Program Analyst for the Health Eligibility Center's Enrollment Standardization Office. The VA Health Eligibility Center (HEC) is VHA's authoritative source for enrollment and eligibility activities that support the delivery of VA health care benefits and is responsible for ensuring the integrity of VA's enrollment system. The Program Analyst serves as a subject matter expert on VHA enrollment and eligibility program.
What You'll Do
- →The Program Analyst provides oversight reports, guidance, and monitoring of VISN eligibility and enrollment programs at all VA Medical Centers (VAMCs) and VA Clinics performing Veteran eligibility and enrollment functions within the assigned VISN.
- →Major duties include but are not limited to: Serves as subject matter expert in support in all areas of enrollment standardization (policy/training/oversight/systems) and evaluates standardization in enrollment across all VAMCs and monitors at national level associated VA directives, policies, and procedures.
- →Prepares presentations, documentation, white papers and reports to and for Member Services, HEC, VISN, and facility leaders.
- →Creates and edits tools in a variety of information technology applications (Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office, etc.) Provides support to ESO VISN Liaisons on enrollment and eligibility program support and quality assurance activities.
- →Communicates new information, regulations, and processes as needed and maintains a working knowledge of performance metrics used to evaluate VISN/medical centers.
- →Develops and performs on demand training when requested by management and/or VISN/medical center personnel.
- →Performs follow up quality review analysis on eligibility determinations made nationwide requiring additional action and/or determined to be ineligible for healthcare benefits by VA Medical Center enrollment staff.
- →Communicates verbally and in writing to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders of all experience levels.
- →Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
- →Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
- →Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 hour shift between 8:00am - 4:30pm.
