About the Role

The Management and Program Analyst reports directly to the Associate Chief of Staff for Mental Health (ACOS/MH). The ACOS/MH is responsible for the delivery of quality Mental Health treatment services at the Battle Creek Veterans Affairs Medical Center (BCVAMC) and the four Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC's) attached to the Medical Center.

What You'll Do

  • Major Duties: Key functions will be similar to those described at the full performance level of the target position.
  • However, during the developmental assignment, full performance range and level of selected functions will not be completely delegated to the employee until proper orientation and training have been completed and the incumbent has demonstrated the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to accomplish the work at the full performance level.
  • As Management and Program Analyst for the office of the ACOS/MH, the incumbent will utilize a variety of management skills to perform all such duties as are necessary to support the administrative and management responsibilities of the ACOS/MH.
  • The Management and Program Analyst will be located near the ACOS/MH accessible to the ACOS/MH, the Chief of Psychiatry Service, Chief of Psychology Service, Administrative Officer for Mental Health, Administrative Officer for Psychiatry Service and the Associate Chief Nurse for Mental Health.
  • He/she will also provide data management support for Mental Health, Psychology and Psychiatry Service, and PCMM support for Psychology, Psychiatry and Social Work Service.
  • Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
  • Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
