Serves as a Senior Program Analyst (Major Initiative Lead) in the Office of Strategic Integration (OSI), leading enterprise-wide implementation of major VHA initiatives. Oversees complex portfolios of projects, coordinates multidisciplinary teams, monitors progress, and advises senior VA and VHA leadership to ensure strategic initiatives are successfully implemented and aligned with organizational priorities and transformation goals.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include but are not limited to: Develops and implements enterprise operating plans that establish strategic goals, objectives, milestones, and completion dates supporting major VHA initiatives.
- →Coordinates and monitors implementation of major initiatives across VHA and VA Administrations, Staff Offices, and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure timely accomplishment of program objectives.
- →Analyzes program performance, tracks milestones, prepares executive reports and briefings, and provides status updates to senior VA and VHA leadership and oversight bodies.
- →Evaluates operating plans and recommends improvements to policies, processes, and implementation strategies to strengthen program effectiveness and organizational performance.
- →Resolves complex implementation issues affecting multiple organizations and facilitates collaboration among program offices to achieve enterprise-wide objectives.
- →Conducts program evaluations, organizational reviews, and special projects to assess effectiveness, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
- →Develops and maintains performance reporting methodologies, management dashboards, and program documentation supporting executive oversight and decision-making.
- →Coordinates administrative activities for executive workgroups, including preparing agendas, briefing materials, meeting minutes, and follow-up actions to support governance and accountability.
- →Builds collaborative relationships across VA and VHA organizations to integrate activities, improve coordination, and support implementation of Department-wide initiatives.
- →Performs complex analytical assignments and provides expert advice to executive leadership on strategic planning, program management, operational performance, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 08:00-04:30pm Compressed/Flexible: Available Telework: Eligible as determined by the agency policy.
- →Will be required to report to either a VA Facility, Agency/VA approved leased space, or any Federal building designated by VA.
- →Virtual: This position may be authorized for Virtual Work.
- →Virtual Work eligibility is for current VA employees that are already subject to the return to the in-person work mandate in their current position.
