This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for for researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices for application to DoW travel programs or processes, notably for DTS. Analyzes management information requirements to develop program or administrative reporting systems. Prepares and provides information and metrics related to travel system functional requirements.
What You'll Do
- →As a Program Analyst (Travel Programs) at the GS-0343-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Analyzes travel-related business processes, management requirements, and system operations to research, recommend, and implement improvements, cost reductions, and corrective actions.
- →Serves as the lead tester for the Defense Travel System (DTS), developing test plans, verifying new functionality, and leading special projects to resolve system problem reports and address data analysis mandates.
- →Analyzes and evaluates the end-to-end operation of enterprise-wide travel systems, ensuring their effectiveness, quality, and progress in providing streamlined processes from user logon to final transaction archiving.
- →Prepares and provides critical data, metrics, and informational packages related to travel system functional requirements for submission to senior leadership.
- →Acts as a subject matter expert, representing the branch and division on various committees and working groups to provide analysis and recommend courses of action on enterprise-wide travel systems.
