About the Role
This position is organizationally situated within the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)), under the Office of the Executive Director, providing direct support to the Administration and Personnel Management Office. This placement reflects a staff advisory and operational support function at the enterprise level, with responsibilities spanning the full OUSW(R&E) organizational hierarchy and its subordinate components.

- →Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Ensures all assigned actions are completed accurately and efficiently within established timelines.
- →Prepares correspondence, briefing materials, and documentation for civilian staffing actions, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- →Act as the primary liaison between leadership and HR service organizations (e.g., Washington Headquarters Services) to gather documentation, monitor progress, and resolve any process bottlenecks.
- →Oversee onboarding, offboarding, payroll coordination, performance management documentation, training initiatives, and awards processing.
- →Analysis & Reporting Analyze reports and requests, interpret policies and regulations, and deliver actionable recommendations to leadership.
- →Develop and maintain robust, technology-driven tracking mechanisms for staffing and personnel actions.
- →Anticipate organizational requirements, identify issues, recommend process improvements, and escalate complex or ambiguous matters to the Assistant Director.
