About the Role

As a Program Analyst you will be responsible for providing in-depth analysis on a variety of subjects involving the evaluation of various administrative programs. Location of position: Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Performance & Accountability (BP), who are responsible for audit management and coordination, internal controls, and performance management. We are currently filling four vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

What You'll Do

  • GS-11: Applies analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues and studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations.
  • Uses qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring effectiveness, efficiency, and/or productivity of administrative and/or technical programs.
  • Plans, schedules, and conducts detailed projects and/or studies to evaluate complex functions and work processes, analyze findings and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a program or support setting.
  • Develops new or modifies a wide variety of work methods, techniques, and procedures for administering program services, guidelines and procedures, and automating work processes for the conduct of administrative support functions or program operations.
  • Prepares work, projects, and study papers and/or reports in organizing and delivering briefings to management and/or senior staff employee(s) to encourage understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations.
  • GS-12: Independently or jointly with other components of the organizational entity, conducts analytical studies that are of special interest related to functional activities and/or programs.
  • Applies a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to assess and improve the effectiveness and management of assigned programs, processes, projects and systems.
  • Analyzes and develops statistical data to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operating programs, or internal support operations that facilitate the operating programs.
  • Reviews information, reconciles conflicting data, and devises new or modified methods to analyze findings.
  • Prepares and/or conducts briefings for higher level management to explain analysis of the subject matter involved, as well as provide recommendations or action plans, and provide guidance and/or direction for implementation.

Requirements
