This position is located in Division of Spent Fuel Storage and Transportation. This job opportunity announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies within the agency. The supervisor is Yoira Diaz Sanabria. This position is subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements. What You'll Do
- →This position is located in the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS), Division of Spent Fuel Storage and Transportation (SFST), Storage, Transportation, and Microreactor Licensing Branch (STMLB).
- →STMLB manages and coordinates the safety, security, and environmental reviews and issues initial licenses, renewals, amendments and the certification of storage systems and microreactors under general license provisions per 10 CFR Part 71 and 10 CFR Part 72, and works closely with other programmatic areas, such as Fuel Facilities.
- →The Program Analyst would provide program planning, management, and guidance to ensure the performance of the Spent Fuel Storage and Transportation (SFST) and Fuel Facilities (FF) Business Lines (BL) relate to financial and other Agency-wide performance measures and areas of accountability.
- →Such duties include but are not limited to: Plans, coordinates, and provides oversight of the FF and SFST BL program support functions and provides technical assistance for the effective operation of the Division's administrative functions in support of the mission.
- →Works with senior staff to assure timely and effective implementation of processes and procedures for ensuring attainment of office goals, objectives, and deadlines.
- →Prepares technical and financial documents, including supporting statistical data and narrative statements for managements review and consideration.
- →Assures such documents reflect policy and program guidance, budget assumptions, and program objectives approved by NRC and FF and SFST BL management.
- →Provides assistance to and coordination of input from NMSS Divisions and Regional Offices on incoming data calls related to all/any operational areas as needed.
- →Monitors periodic reports on the programmatic status and the utilization of resources for FF and SFST BL programs.
- →Performs analyses of programmatic impacts of changes in resource levels and division policies and procedures.
- →Contributes to responses to questions on specific portions of the budget and related matters from the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, the Commission, the Office of the Executive Director, the NMSS Office Director and Deputies, and other internal or external stakeholders.
- →Provides instructions and guidance and serves as a resource to the divisions, working closely with division contacts to develop inputs and other supporting information; prepares and maintains necessary backup information required for these documents; prepares portions of briefings and presentations to NRC Management.
