About the Position: This position is located at 88th Medical Group, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
What You'll Do
- →Develop, coordinate, and implement the Medical Contingency Response Plan, Medical Readiness Training and Exercise Plan, and National Disaster Medical System plan.
- →Coordinate with leadership, disaster teams, installation units, and community healthcare partners to develop and update medical readiness plans aligned with civilian, non-federal, and Department of Defense organizations.
- →Monitor capability requirement changes, update medical readiness plans, document coordination in Medical Readiness Committee minutes, and conduct outreach with community healthcare partners to validate disaster response capabilities.
- →Provide technical oversight for the Home Station Medical Response program, ensuring equipment, systems, and training remain current and mission ready.
- →Arrange with Medical Logistics to ensure accurate reporting to leadership and the Medical Readiness Steering Function.
- →Identify equipment shortfalls, track new item requests, and submit validated requirements to major command for funding consideration.
- →Serve as the technical expert for the National Disaster Medical System, supporting coordinated federal medical response during major disasters and assisting military and Department of Veterans Affairs systems during casualty reception.
- →Participate in meetings, panels, and committees, delivering clear briefings and concise written correspondence.
