The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Training and Exercise Planner providing planning, analysis, design, development implementation, and evaluation of training events for both internal and external audiences; to sustain joint force readiness throughout the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Area of Responsibility and to develop, plan, and prepare to execute battle staff training and exercises.
What You'll Do
- →Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the USCENTCOM training and exercise program.
- →Develop goals and objectives that integrate organization and USCENTCOM training objectives that meet National Defense Strategy objectives and Command CENTCOM Campaign Plan objectives.
- →Research, interpret, analyze and apply U.S. military and USCENTCOM area of responsibility host nation military requirements and capabilities.
- →Meet with key exercise coordinating officials to assess planning progress, explain USCENTCOM Command policy and procedures, and resolve challenges that arise.
- →Responsible for providing key input and shaping guidance on the design, planning, coordination, and execution of the Command's Battle Staff Exercises and Mission Rehearsal Programs that prepare USCENTCOM, Combined and Joint Task Force Staffs.
- →Assist with the development of budgets for the Exercise Program and provide in-direct oversight and briefings on the OSD Joint Training Exercise and Evaluation Program (JTEEP) ($240 million (FYDP) and USCENTCOM Title 10 Section 321, Training with friendly foreign countries.
