About the Position: Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA) is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing prekindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the Department of War(DoW). DoWEA is globally positioned and operates accredited schools in various districts located in foreign countries, states, Guam, and Puerto Rico. The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is transitioning to the Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA).
What You'll Do
- →Support regional Student Activities, Educational Curriculum, Content and Standards, Junior Reserve Officers' Training (JROTC), and Interscholastic Athletic programs.
- →Compose policy letters, guidance memorandums, and various correspondence.
- →Coordinate events and provide facilities oversight.
- →Maintain comprehensive databases used to make organizational decisions and prepare reports.
- →Prepare written analyses, plans, and reports.
- →Provide oversight of the Student Activity Program budget.
- →Prepare correspondence for high-level military and congressional review.
- →Evaluate systems and procedures for carrying out the organization's administrative functions.
- →Conduct oversight evaluations of students activities programs.
- →Develop systems for inventory of supplies and equipment.
- →Coordinate compliance with athletic program policies and safety standards.
