About the Position: This position is assigned to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy (DASD (MC&FP), Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness (USD (P&R)). This position may be eligible for situational telework as determined by the agency policy.
What You'll Do
- →Oversee the execution of contracted non-medical counseling programs focused on addressing the needs and challenges of service members and their families.
- →Ensure a continuum of quality support, intervention or non-medical counseling for service members and/or their families.
- →Establish and nurture relationships with national, state, local, and military leaders with vested interests in improving quality of life for service members and their families.
- →Initiate partnerships with military services and reserve components to resolve a variety of complex issues involving service members and their families.
- →Plan new approaches and programs arising from proposed legislation and the latest DoD commitments.
- →Evaluate support programs reflecting the needs of service members and their families.
- →Organize program statistical information to provide recommendations or interpretations of non-medical counseling program data.
- →Deliver presentations to audiences on services available for service members and/or their families.
