The Program Analyst works to improve the efficiency and productivity of Veterinarian Services (VS), Strategy and Policy (S&P). They identify, analyze and make recommendations to resolve conventional problems. The work may involve developing detailed procedures and guidelines to supplement established administrative regulations or program guidance. The work affects the efficiency and productivity of administrative operations of S&P.
What You'll Do
- →The duties described are for the full-performance level.
- →At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
- →The duties may include, but are not limited to: Acts as the Lead Federal Agency Travel Administrator (FATA) of the CONCUR travel system, or any system that replaces CONCUR.
- →This includes liaison between Strategy and Policy and the VS Lead Travel Team.
- →Develop travel processes to include domestic travel in the Continental United States (CONUS) or Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), in-kind and foreign travel.
- →Utilize thorough knowledge of the Strategy and Policy organization to accept, process, and track travel requests, and cost analyses from beginning to end.
- →Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) on conference approval process in accordance with all Departmental Regulations and Guidance Documents.
- →Participates in special projects, other studies, and work groups, relating to internal operations.
- →Independently researches, analyses, and compiles statistics and data from recurring and special reports utilizing a variety of sources to obtain information from sources both internal and external.
- →Gives on-the-job training to employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.
- →Develops survey instruments for data collection regarding training events or other special events.
- →Analyses, tabulates and summarizes data collected from these survey instruments, and formulates recommendations for improvements.
