The primary purpose of this position is to serve as MAJCOM headquarters level senior program analyst, responsible for planning, organizing, and determining necessary policies, regulations, directives, programs, doctrine, and procedures for the establishment and maintenance of inspection support using The Inspector General Inspections Reporting System (TIGIRS) tools.
What You'll Do
- →Analyzes, develops, and evaluates detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implementation of assigned major command program(s).
- →Programs relate to one or more of the following tactical or strategic areas: flight and mission, mobilization, readiness exercises, flying training systems both manned and unmanned, rescue, foreign military sales, PPBS, acquisition, special operations, contingency, and long-range strategy for the beddown of new aircraft rebasing concepts, tactical and strategic airlift, training, etc.
- →Documents planning and programming decisions in appropriate formats to meet Major Command requirements.
- →Identifies non-standard or emerging operational requirements, assesses impact on assigned programs, and develops recommendations.
- →Actively participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques.
- →Prepares detailed plans, budgets, and schedules for assigned major programs and/or participates with management in fiscal planning.
- →Prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to proposed changes in assigned program(s).
- →Develops and prepares a variety of correspondence and other documentation, i.e., formal letters, position papers, reports, staff studies, staff summary packages, briefings, charts, bullet background papers, etc.
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
