About the Role
You will serve as a Procurement Analyst of CNSSC OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FIELD.
What You'll Do
- →You will collaborate with DON acquisition workforce to further the use of Category Management contract solutions by improving market research techniques and knowledge.
- →You will interpret contract award data to make recommendations to Heads if Contracting Activities to further the use of strategic Category Management solutions to realize better buying power.
- →You will answer, research, and provide advisement to questions relating to various acquisition or CM inquiries received from DASN (P), Heads of Contracting Activities (HCAs) or other acquisition workforce stakeholders.
- →You will develop a process to effectively manage the contracts tier designation resubmittal as it directly relates to DON continuing to meet their annual metrics.
- →You will provide training or education to the acquisition workforce on Category Management tools, Contractual Services, or market research practices.
- →You will explain Category Management practices and principles, strategies in educational/training events or workshops, discussions with customers, or Federal/DOD activities.
- →You will interpret and apply Contract Policy and Instructions, specifically M-19-13, DODI 5000.74 and SECNAVINST 5000.2G.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following Basic Education Requirement of the Department of Defense Qualification Standard for Contracting Positions: A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
- ✓NOTE: The education requirement listed above applies only to individuals entering DoD GS-1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000.
- ✓Current civilian personnel in DoD who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement.
- ✓Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS (or equivalent) 1102 or before September 30, 2000 are also exempt from meeting this requirement.
