About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is assigned to Geriatrics, on the short stay rehabilitation unit in the Community Living Center, located at the James A. Haley VA in Tampa, Florida. The incumbent will provide direct resident care to adult through geriatric-aged veterans/residents, recognizing age-related needs and demonstrating the knowledge and care appropriate for that age group.

- →Experience in short stay rehabilitation preferred.
- →Provides exemplary Resident/Family Centered Care Facilitates resident's rights and encourages them to meet their responsibilities as an inpatient Actively participates in the team process for improvement and implementation of change.
- →Work Schedule: Fulltime, 12-hour Day shift (8-hour shifts are negotiable), rotating weekends, and holidays, and occasional off tour for coverage.

- →Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
- →Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
