This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS), Commercial Data Program with 1 vacancy in Lanham, MD or Silver Spring, MD. What You'll Do

- →As a Policy Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Work on the Commercial Data Program and serve as a senior subject matter expert on legislative, regulatory, and policy issues relevant to environmental satellites, data and information services.
- →Develop and evaluate strategies for short and long-term planning of agency environmental satellite, data and information services policy formulation and evaluation in association with organizational decision makers.
- →Serve as a senior National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) representative in stakeholder meetings and interagency policy forums and coordinate with other federal and state agencies to advance NOAA's objectives.
Requirements
- ✓This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS).
- ✓Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band.
- ✓The ZA-4 is equivalent to the GS-13/14.
- ✓Key Requirements: Applicants must be U.S.
- ✓Suitable for Federal employment, as determined by background investigation.

- ✓Must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable (www.sss.gov) Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
