About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Perform law enforcement work to maintain law and order, preserve the peace, protect life and civil rights, detect and investigate crimes, arrest or apprehend violators, and perform patrols within the jurisdiction of the military installation.
What You'll Do
- →This is a developmental position; duties listed below will be performed in a developmental capacity at the GS-06 grade level.
- →At the full performance, GS-07, the incumbent will: Respond to and investigate emergency calls, complaints and other calls for service.
- →Conduct and/or participate in civilian training regarding various law enforcement topics conducted on an Army installation.
- →Upon notification, respond to Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) alarms and determine probable cause (actual or false alarm).
- →Perform access control duties by applying local instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Pre-Planned Responses (PPR), Random Anti-terrorism Measure (RAM), and Force Protection (FP) Conditions to control vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
- →Protect personnel, material, tactical military assets, and high value assets by executing daily RAM and supplemental anti-terrorism measures during increased force protection conditions.
- →Employ National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) protocols to establish command and control, develop a course of action to contain, mitigate, and recover from the incident.
- →Exercise search and arrest authority, detain witnesses, apprehend suspects, interview witnesses and other persons involved.
