About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: You will serve as a Police Officer (Desk Sergeant), providing technical guidance and/or direction to personnel. Primary duties will include screening calls and relaying messages to patrol officers, fire department, and/or emergency medical services team.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as initial point of contact for complaints, inquiries, and/or making personal notification in accordance with established emergency procedures.
- →Ensures the police blotter is consistent with AR 190-45 in identifying all recordable offenses occurred during tour of duty.
- →Responsible for operating the Emergency Communications Center (ECC) by utilizing Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD) and/or other equipment.
- →Reviews written reports, crime scene security, force protection measures, community policing and/or crime prevention measures.
- →Dispatches emergency responders to investigate incidents and/or assist in emergencies.
- →Provides structured one-on-one training and/or mentoring for newly assigned employees.
- →Provides guidance to subordinates as it relates to current federal, host nation, local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.

- ★May be exposed to inclement weather while working both inside and outside.
