About the Role
You will serve as a POLICE OFFICER in the COMMANDER, NAVY INSTALLATIONS COMMAND of WEPSTA FALLBROOK SET DET.
What You'll Do
- →You will respond to intrusion detection system (IDS) alarms, emergency calls, complaints, and other calls for service while on duty.
- →You will set up and conduct checkpoints/roadblocks at various locations throughout the installation in support of Random Anti-terrorism Measures (RAMS) and to reduce criminal activity and ensure motor vehicle safety.
- →You will prepare detailed reports, forms, and citations concerning all incidents and action taken.
- →You will interview witnesses, take statements, secure crime scenes, seize and protect evidence, draft reports, create incident diagrams, and provide direction to other civilian and/or military law enforcement personnel as required.
- →You will ensure individuals requesting access to the installation have proper identification.
- →You will detect and respond to threats to restricted areas, and detain, apprehend, apply restraints and transport violators as required.
- →You will defend installation personnel, equipment, and resources from terrorist threats or hostile attacks.
Requirements
- ✓GS-03 One year of successfully completed study at an accredited school above the high school level with at least 6 semester hours of study pertinent to police work.
