What You'll Do
- →The Orlando VA Healthcare System's Pathology & Laboratory Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Pathologist.
- →Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program.
- →You must be an excellent communicator and team player who is adaptable to the needs of a growing medical center.
- →This is an open continuous announcement that will remain open until filled.
- →Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
- →Eligible applicants will be referred each week for consideration until a selection is made.
- →The candidate is a well-rounded pathologist with AP/CP board certification as well as training and/or experience in either ONE of the following three specialties: 1) Pathologist fellowship trained in Surgical Pathology.
- →Preference for candidates trained and/or experienced in Head & Neck Pathology and/or Pulmonary Pathology. 2) Pathologist fellowship trained in Cytopathology with GYN and non-GYN cytology experience.
- →Ultrasound-guided FNA biopsy experience is required. 3) Pathologist fellowship trained and board certified in Molecular Pathology experienced in the interpretation of various molecular assays.
- →May assist in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Services as needed.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
