About the Role

What You'll Do
- →Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Outpatient and electronic consultation services related to gastroenterology and hepatology.
- →Overseeing the administration of conscious sedation.
- →Performing standard Gl procedures such as EGD (upper endoscopy), colonoscopies, and other procedures.
- →The incumbent should be able to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with gastrointestinal diseases according to standard, usual, and acceptable methods, and techniques.
- →Ability to work in collaboration with gastroenterology advance practice provider(s) throughout the Orlando Healthcare System.
- →Work alongside the chief of gastroenterology and support the sections administrative duties.
- →Supervise the outpatient activities of the section of gastroenterology.
- →Supervise the activities of the advanced practice provider(s).
- →Assist the section Chief in addressing congressional, patient's complaints, discipline staff, arrange coverage, and/or manage the daily activities of the section.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

- ✓Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine.
