Physician - Chief of Primary Care

About the Role
The incumbent serves as Chief of Primary Care within Columbia Veterans Affairs Health Care System (CVAHCS). The primary role is overseeing service delivery and supporting strategic planning aligned with organizational priorities. This will involve creating the annual Primary Care Strategic Plan, identifying system development and coordinating with the Executive Team and Service Chiefs. This position provides direct supervision for 63 clinical and administrative full time employee's (FTEs)."

- →Develop and implement measures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- →Develop and execute a Primary Care Service Business Plan.
- →Be accountable for resources used, directly and indirectly, by the Primary Care Service.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.
