About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at the 72nd Medical Group, Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
What You'll Do
- →Conduct occupational medicine physical examinations such as pre-employment evaluations, medical surveillance, job certification exams, and fitness-for-duty/return-to-work examinations.
- →Provide patients with diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic medical and/or surgical care and services under the supervision of a physician.
- →Evaluate individuals’ ability to perform essential job functions, determining necessary limitations and making recommendations for reasonable accommodations as needed.
- →Provide diagnostic, preventative, and treatment care for work-related injuries, referring patients for additional evaluation or treatment as needed.
- →Perform medical clearances and surveillance for programs such as respiratory protection, bloodborne pathogen exposure, reproductive hazards, and required immunizations.
- →Make recommendations regarding safe work practices by collaborating with Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and command leadership.
- →Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing occupational health policies, procedures, and medical protocols to ensure regulatory compliance and program effectiveness.
