About the Position: This position is located at Martin Army Community Hospital at Fort Benning, Georgia. Work is performed in an outpatient physical therapy setting. General work hours 0630-1500. A recruitment or relocation incentive MAY be authorized. Salary negotiation MAY be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment MAY be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Plan, coordinate, and administer diverse physical therapy programs for wounded, ill and injured patients under the general supervision of the Physical Therapist.
- →Utilize various modalities of physical therapy, as prescribed, such as diathermy, hydrotherapy, massage, electrotherapy, ultrasound and therapeutic exercise.
- →Implement progressive patient treatment plans designed to restore and maintain range of motion, strength, endurance, coordination, and relaxation.
- →Design treatment plans with consideration of patient’s medical history and which promote healing, pain relief and improvement of functional independence.
- →Educate patient and/or and family members about application of physical modalities for home environment to include precautions and contraindications.
- →Track treatment plan effectiveness and report problems to supervisor.
