About the Role
About the Position: This position is located with Evans Army Community Hospital, Directorate of Clinical Support, Department of Pharmacy Inpatient Pharmacy at Fort Carson, CO This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
What You'll Do
- →Determine type of substance, strength, dosage, and quantity to be dispensed.
- →Receive, review, prepare, and fill physician orders for prescriptions.
- →Enter prescriptions into outpatient computer system.
- →Obtain the pharmaceutical, prepare package labels, and set up for review.
- →Sign for controlled substances as they are received.
- →Take steps to rectify discrepancies as they are found.
- →Maintain and cleaning of assigned medication dispensing stations.
- →Preform sterile drug compounding in accordance with USP 797 Perform hazardous drug compounding in accordance with USP 797 and USP 800 Perform non-sterile drug compounding in accordance with USP 795
