About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at the 55th Medical Group, Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
What You'll Do
- →Fill prescriptions for the full range of pharmaceuticals to include controlled drugs.
- →Determine type of substance, strength, dosage, and quantity to be dispensed in accordance with pharmacy standing operating procedures.
- →Maintain pharmacy records, files, and administrative reports on drugs, adverse reactions, patient allergies, errors, inventory, transactions, and provider/patient files.
- →Communicate with patients on proper use of medication and to obtain medication history.
- →Advise prescriber or pharmacist on issues or problems with dosing, interactions, side effects, or instructions.
- →Operate pharmacy equipment to fill and label prescriptions.
- →Conduct maintenance on pharmacy equipment to avoid malfunctions.
- →Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals and other supplies utilizing appropriate stock storage, conditions, and procedures.
