About the Position: This position is located at the 59th Medical Wing - Joint Base San Antonio - Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center; Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Perform pharmacy dispensing services.
- →Receive and review individual prescriptions for the full range of pharmaceuticals, to include controlled drugs, to determine kind, strength, and dosage of drugs to be dispensed.
- →Consider pharmacy policy limitations and instructions on the order.
- →Set up prescriptions by obtaining correct stock container and calculating quantities.
- →Conduct interviews with patients or their caregivers for the purpose of establishing medication history.
- →Provide drug information to patients and caregivers and counsels patients/caregivers on proper medication use.
- →Adhere to strict Federal and State laws, and other applicable regulations on all narcotics/ controlled substances.
- →Work in intravenous additive solution area and performs sterile solution operations.
- →Prepare and maintain various pharmacy records, files, and administrative reports determining and modifying format and content.
