About the Role
About the Position: Position located at Ireland Army Health Clinic (IAHC) Pharmacy and Binter Street Pharmacy, Fort Knox, KY. Standard duty hours are Monday through Friday, 0800-1630 (closed on weekends and all Federal holidays). Registration as a certified pharmacy technician is preferred not required. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Receive and review prescriptions to determine the correct substance, dosage, and quantity to be dispensed.
- →Enter prescription information into a computer system, checking patient profiles for allergies and drug interactions.
- →Filing prescriptions by obtaining the correct pharmaceutical, preparing labels, and verifying the medication against the order.
- →Provide instructions to patients on the proper use of their medications and refer complex questions to a pharmacist.
- →Work alongside other technicians and pharmacists to ensure efficient patient care and customer service.
