About the Role
The incumbent position is located at the Chillicothe VAMC aligned with Pharmacy Service. The Inpatient Pharmacy Supervisor functions will include managing and coordinating all services provided through Inpatient Pharmacy at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center. They will act as a representative of Pharmacy Service within the Medical Center and community while serving as a first-line supervisor for pharmacists, residents, students, and volunteers assigned to inpatient pharmacy.

- →Conducts performance reviews and competency assessments in accordance with Human Resources requirements and specified deadlines.
- →Interviews with prospective employees and provides recommendations for appointments.
- →Recommends personnel actions, as needed, under the supervision of the Chief of Pharmacy or delegate, with guidance from Employee Labor Relations (ELR).
- →Serves as a liaison for inpatient pharmacy to improve inter-professional communications, resolve work related problems, and facilitate understanding and/or support for management policies and goals.
- →Provides staff with overall section goals and the objectives of work assigned to them with confirmation of understanding.
- →Tracks and assesses workload, quality of work being performed, costs, and overall efficiency to provide recommendations on process improvements.
- →Serves in advisory capacity to Chief, Pharmacy Service or designee on matters relating to inpatient pharmacy.
- →Performs, when necessary, all duties assigned to an operational clinical pharmacist.
- →Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m Telework: Not Available.

Requirements
