About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Irwin Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley, Kansas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as an expert on pharmaceuticals, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics in all patient age groups.
- →Provide authoritative instructions, advice and assistance to prescribing and dispensing officials on effectiveness, suitability, hazards, and other aspects of their use.
- →Monitor the dispensing of pharmaceuticals in the medical treatment facility and allied facilities.
- →Conduct training of professional, non-professional, and prescribing staff on developments in drug therapy, rational therapeutics.
- →Counsel patients on course of treatment, pertinent drug-drug and drug-nutrient interactions, possible adverse effects, and related matters.
- →Oversee and perform outpatient pharmacy functions for the full range of pharmaceuticals.
