About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at The Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Serve as a therapeutic consultant to physicians on evaluation and implementation of optimal medication plans for inpatients and outpatients.
- →Develop, order, and adjust individualized medication regimens per protocol or consent of physicians.
- →Administer medications according to provider guidance and pre-established protocols.
- →Counsel patients on the use, proper method of administration of medications, side effects, precautions and other general information.
- →Provide lectures for continuing education to pharmacy, nursing and medical staff on a variety of subjects including general pharmaceutical information and complex topics such as pharmacokinetics, therapeutics and pharmacology.
- →Perform medication distribution functions to include the filling, checking, counseling, and dispensing of outpatient prescriptions.
