The primary purpose of this position is to To inspect, evaluate, correct defects, and apply a spectrum of various special coatings including low infrared reflective base coatings, high gloss finishes and high corrosive inhibitors to aircraft.
What You'll Do
- →Accurately performs inspections, evaluate, and assess status of various composites, metal substrates, low infrared reflective applications and other special coatings.
- →Identifies, and mixes various array of special coating materials ranging from low infrared reflective needs primer, elastomeric corrosion inhibitor, epoxy, fluid resistant fuel cell primer, and other polyurethane paints.
- →Applies coating methods and techniques to ensure a high quality decorative appearance, maintain a protective barrier for structural substrates, and meets specific thicknesses for various applied compounds.
- →Determines areas of the aircraft to be repaired and other discrepancies as to protect the integrity of aircraft(s) surfaces, assemblies, and their components.
- →Performs seam sealing operations in interior of aircraft wheel wells including exterior surfaces, chemical stripping assemblies/parts, propeller tips on engines.
- →Uses and maintains tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- →Maintains all tools, equipment, devices, gauges, and newly acquired state of the art spray portable paint booths, and documentation requirements.
