About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at the Air Force Academy in El Paso, Colorado. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation -A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. -Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. -Student Loan repayment may be authorized. -Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
What You'll Do
- →Perform examination, diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
- →Utilize specific examinations and instruments to determine an individual's functional vision and specific visual abilities.
- →Provide evaluation and treatment of duty-related eye injuries and illnesses.
- →Ensure personnel requiring prescriptive eyewear receive appropriate protective equipment to include ordering appropriate eyewear and adjusting to optimize protection.
- →Perform a primary role in the visual readiness and optimization of active-duty personnel for both war and peace mission accomplishment.
