About the Role
About the Position: This position is located in U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa, Japan. Incumbent serves as a registered nurse responsible for the provision if professional nursing care to assigned patients covering pediatrics to geriatrics medicine, within a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Provide complex nursing care to clinic patients utilizing evidence- based approach and application of clinical practice guidelines.
- →Collaborate with multidisciplinary departments to coordinate the continuum of care to meet the patient’s needs.
- →Maintain medical history on patients in an automated medical records system.
- →Assist licensed practitioners in performing complicated physical examinations, treatments and diagnostic procedures.
- →Initiate emergency care to include use of specialized equipment such as Electrocardiogram (ECG) machine, Nebulizer Spirometry, Pulse Oximeter machine, and suction equipment.
- →Contribute to the development of the department, to include ensuring skill competency of other team members and improvements to standards or procedures.
