This vacancy is for a GS-2210-12, Network IT Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, C5ISC NETWORK SECTION in ALEXANDRIA, Virginia.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as an Network IT Specialist and be responsible for managing information technology projects.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Network knowledge, to include concepts, configuration, experience for routine tasking during the workday.
- →Compliance knowledge for cybersecurity and accreditation support for frequent tasking during the workday.
- →Baseline and change management experience to support for frequent tasking during the workday.
- →Communication and coordination with internal and/or external customers for Customer Service for frequent tasking during the workday.
- →Managing information and documentation changes to support network changes, compliance, and communication for occasional tasking during the workday.
- →Able to self manage and proactively address problems before they have escalated and/or caused a critical outage event.
- →Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
- →Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level I (FAC P/PM-I) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.
- →Information Assurance Management Level II (IAM-II) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.
