This position is located in the Support Services Division of Navy Region Southwest (NRSW). The purpose of this position is to provide maximum availability of the Bowling Center to a wide variety of military personnel, dependents, retired personnel, authorized Department of Defense (DOD) civilians and contract personnel.
What You'll Do
- →Plans, develops, organizes, coordinates and administers the day-to-day and continuing operations of the Bowling Center.
- →Executes diversified bowling activities for Bowling Pro Shop and a full service snack bar.
- →Actively promotes and organizes bowling programs through leagues, special tournaments and special bowling classes.
- →Coordinates publicity and promotes events.
- →Ensures daily maintenance of the Bowling Center equipment is performed.
- →This includes, but is not limited to, disassembling and assembling mechanical parts and components and inspecting lanes, balls and pins for serviceability.
- →Also cleans and applies dressing to lanes, cleans and maintains approaches.
- →Ensures that routine and preventive maintenance programs on all pinspotting machines and related equipment is carried out, and that all equipment is in proper operating and safety condition.
- →Operates Bowling Pro Shop, orders resale supplies, and maintains inventory.
- →Custom measures, fits, drills and plugs Bowling Balls for customers.
- →Stays current on the latest trends and available bowling equipment.
- →Maintains records of balls sold to include customer's name, finger size and hand span.
- →Responsible for financial transactions dealing with bowling lane fees, class fees, and resale prices.
- →Supervises and coordinates the day to day operation of the food and beverage area, inclusive of the sale of short-order food items; planning daily service; reporting of fixture and furniture condition; staff adherence to NAVMED P50.10 Sanitation Requirements; and equipment repair orders; maintains sale records and accountable documents.
