Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, San Diego Sector, Mission Readiness Operations Division, Workforce Management Department, located in Chula Vista, CA. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →In this Mission Support Specialist (Workforce Management) role, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security individuals involved in planning and carrying out a wide variety of mission support, workforce management, administrative research, and program planning activities related to the missions and functions of the Mission Readiness Operations Division.
- →This position starts at a salary of $57,641.00 (GS-07, Step 1) to $74,935.00 (GS-07, Step 10) with promotion potential to $110,905 (GS-11 Step 10).

- →Typical duties of this assignment include: Providing advice and guidance to supervisors and managers on various policy and procedural aspects of workforce management and administrative programs.
- →Developing workforce and staffing methodology, approaches, and procedures for delivering effective customer service.
- →Serving as a point of contact on new protocols, policies, or guidelines affecting the agency or their divisions business process.
- →Researching data, issues, and information that support project recommendations or the work assignments.
