About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Air and Marine Operations, Special Programs Division located in Washington, D.C. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

What You'll Do

  • Join Air and Marine Operations and utilize your expertise applying a wide range of concepts, laws, policies, practices and analytical diagnostic methods and techniques ensuring successful operational support.
  • This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
  • Typical responsibilities include: Performing program evaluation, applying analytical techniques to assess compliance with agency rules and regulations, supporting continuous improvement of operational effectiveness.
  • Assisting management with budget development by conducting resource analysis and projections, ensuring accurate and timely allocation of funds for agency operations.
  • Leading and coordinating team studies, collaborating with management to implement recommendations, and facilitate organizational change involving substantial agency resources.
  • Developing guidance for staffing and funding, monitor and appraise resource utilization, and support subordinate activities in achieving program objectives and goals.
  • Reviewing and analyzing new or modified legislation for potential impact on agency programs and resources, preparing comprehensive reports to inform management decision-making.

Requirements
