About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Office of Field Operations - New Orleans Field Office, New Orleans, LA. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

What You'll Do

  • This position will allow you to use your expertise in administration to provide advisory and technical services in a variety of mission support functional areas.
  • Apply for this exciting opportunity to strengthen the Department's ability to protect the homeland by analyzing and refining existing work methods and developing new methods and procedures.
  • This position starts at a salary of $50,460.00 (GS-7, Step 1) to $80,243.00 (GS-9, Step 10) with promotion potential to $97,087 (GS-11 Step 10).
  • Performing assignments requiring the application of fundamental principles, concepts, techniques, and guidelines in an administrative specialty area(s).
  • Conducting detailed planning to gather and interpret information and data for complex problems, issues, and unusual circumstances.
  • Identifying ways to improve or enhance current services and to ensure that such services meet management's business objectives.
  • Analyzing the effects of changes in laws and regulations as they pertain to administrative specialty areas.Identifying and clarifying problems in order to propose recommendations to management.
