As a Mission Support Specialist, you will serve as an analyst or advisor on the evaluation of the effectiveness of mission support programs, human resources, operations and/or the productivity and efficiency of management of administrative operations.
What You'll Do
- →The responsibilities described are for the full performance level.
- →At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope performed with less independence, and limited complexity.
- →Serve as a liaison and consultative link with Headquarters Program Offices for Property, Human Resources, Budget, and similar administrative programs on behalf of a Criminal Investigative Division field office.
- →Provide direct mission support in the form of various administrative activities, including maintaining and auditing property logs, performing employee onboarding and exiting procedures, and drafting and sending communications.
- →Assisting and guiding supervisors and employees on a variety of complex and sensitive administrative mission support processes such as budget, procurement, personnel, communications, logistics (fleet and facilities), training, records, and property.
- →Conduct extensive research and analysis on administrative projects to gather and analyze relevant data, develop options, make recommendations, and provide comprehensive reports.
- →Develop, implement, interpret, and advise on administrative requirements.
- →Monitor administrative activities and prepare a variety of reports utilizing various automated systems.
- →Prepare project papers and staff reports and organize and deliver briefings to managers to promote understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations.
- →Review newly issued regulations or directives to ascertain their impact on program areas.

- ✓Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S.
- ✓Citizenship and Immigration Services.
- ✓This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S.
- ✓Federal or Military employee serving overseas.
- ✓Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a probationary period of 1 year.
- ✓Physical Demands: Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- ✓Motor Vehicle Operation: This position requires operation of a motor vehicle.
- ✓You must possess a current valid driver's license.
- ✓COMBINING QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION (at the GS-09 and GS-11 level/s only): If you do not qualify based on experience or education alone, you may be able to qualify based on a combination of your experience and education.
