About the Role
About the Position: This is a developmental Medical Technician position located at Guthrie Army Health Clinic, Fort Drum, New York. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation available for those new to Federal employment.
What You'll Do
- →Collect appropriate specimens and prepare them for testing.
- →Read, compile and report results in each area of specialization.
- →Calibrate various analyzers as required and run quality control samples on all instruments.
- →Assist in the training of new technicians.
- →Gather and record data for certain administrative reports.
- →Prepare specimens for shipment to other installations and laboratories in accordance with instructions concerning prevention of breakage, leakage and thawing of frozen specimens.
- →Consult with physicians regarding test findings or on additional tests.
