About the Role
About the Position: This position serves as a Medical Support Assistant for an overseas Defense Health Agency (DHA)Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).The position is located in Landstuhl, Germany. Permanent Change of Station (PCS)/Relocation and Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) are NOT authorized for this position. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Performs the full range of receptionist, recordkeeping, and miscellaneous clerical duties within the ambulatory setting.
- →Enters, manipulates, and/or retrieves information and data from automated systems.
- →Maintains and monitors patient appointment schedules for the clinic/practice.
- →Receives patients and visitors as the initial point of contact, in person or telephonically.
- →Monitors and manages the clinic referrals.
- →Ensures eligibility for care, and contacts Patient Administration for verification.
- →Maintains patients’ records, both electronic and paper, according to regulation.
- →Types routine correspondence, progress reports, medical statements, memoranda, and statistical reports using various automation systems and programs.
- →Responds to emergency calls and notifies emergency medical personnel.
