The incumbent is an integral team member within a large Rehab & Extended Care (REC) Department at the Black Hills VAMC, a Complexity Level 2 facility. The REC Department houses multiple medical provider clinics and services including Interventional Pain, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology.
What You'll Do
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Major duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Provides medical administrative, referral coordination, and tele-health support to clinics/programs within the REC Department, supporting both in-person and virtual care modalities to ensure efficient day-to-day operations in connection with the care and treatment provided to Veterans.
- →Supports RCT clinicians by managing appointment logistics, performing referral-related communication, and serving as a key administrative liaison between Veterans, specialty services, and community providers in alignment with the Referral Coordination Initiative (RCI).
- →Supports virtual care and tele-health operations-including VA Video Connect (VVC), Clinical Video Telehealth (CVT), and telephone-based care.
- →Work involves specialized administrative judgment and the flexible use of a wide range of clinical flow processes relating to access to care across multiple clinics, specialties, and/or care in the community resources.
- →Recommend changes to existing clinic procedures based on current administrative guidelines.
- →Expertise in utilizing numerous advanced patient systems in support of multiple clinics involved in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model.
- →Coordinates with the multiple patient care teams to review clinic appointment availability (utilization) to ensure that clinic schedules are closely monitored to effectively support the needs of the clinics and adjust as necessary.
- →Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
