About the Position: This position is located William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Operates various kinds of equipment such as ultrasonic cleaners and washer-sterilizers.
- →Places sterilized operating room instruments in the proper tray.
- →Removes trays of instruments from pre-sterilizing equipment, inspects items to be sure that gross contamination has been removed and that instruments function properly.
- →Periodically tests operation of equipment for effectiveness of sterilization.
- →Conducts the OR inventory; receiving from OR an inventory list that requests instruments and filling the request by wrapping and sterilizing instruments prior to sending them to OR.
- →Visually conducts the crash cart supply inventory and orders supplies.
