About the Position: Serves as a Medical Records Technician and receptionist/release of information clerk of the Data Flow Branch, Medical Information Services Division, Patient Administration, and Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Virginia. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Reviews, analyzes, sorts, sequences and compiles inpatient and ambulatory surgery medical records Reviews patient information to prevent incomplete/inaccurate data.
- →Research and retrieves inpatient records from the medical record archive system Applies quality management procedures to ensure the integrity of the medical record filing systems Serves as a receptionist in the office for patient and hospital staff personnel.
