You will serve as a MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC LEADER in the MECHANICAL SHOP (CODE 938), PRODUCTION RESOURCE DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will recommend assignments of personnel to ensure skills training is optimized using current ships’ availability and schedule.
- →You will urge and advise employees to follow instructions received from supervisors and to meet deadlines.
- →You will be responsible for providing enough work to keep everyone in the crew busy.
- →You will work with trainees by demonstrating their knowledge of the skill via on-the-job training.
- →You will be responsible for obtaining needed information or decisions from supervisors on problems that may arise during the course of work being performed.
