About the Role
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Eglin Outdoor Recreation and will be used for the NAF Hiring Event at CareerSource Okaloosa Walton located at 409 Racetrack Rd NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547 on 20 AUG 2025 from 0830-1400. Those who apply by June 17 may be scheduled for an interview the day of the hiring event.
What You'll Do
- →Diagnoses malfunctions of outboard motors to determine the source of trouble and to determine the extent of repairs required, including electrical systems, geared units, and components.
- →Using specialized testing equipment, tears down, adjusts, repairs, reassembles, and runs operational checks on engines to determine necessary repairs.
- →Determines supplies and parts needed for repair of motors.
- →May maintain maintenance records on all equipment repaired, annotating manhours, materials, and date of repair.
- →Based on these records, determines bench stock required and maintenance schedules.
- →Instructs patrons in all phases of safety regulations concerning use of boats and motors.
- →May collect fees for rental of equipment and prepare daily cash reports and deposit funds.
